Asian Kung Fu Federation is the continental body of national kungfu & tai chi organizations in Asia

Asian Kung Fu Federation (AKF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote Kung Fu and Tai Chi in Asia. Asian Kung Fu Federation works to build collaboration between national Kung Fu and Tai Chi organizations, instructors and athletes and protects all the rights of the affiliated members.

Asian Kung Fu Federation is established as a continental section of the International Kung Fu Federation (IKF). The Rules and Regulations of the IKF is the fundamental and universal document upon which the administration of the sport of kungfu is based. IKF national representatives in Asia automatically become the AKF affiliated members.

Asian Kung Fu Federation observes the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code (“OMADC”) as prescribed by the IOC and other anti-doping codes relevant in preserving the intrinsic value of the spirit of sport. The AKF shall consult with and integrate, if necessary, the best practices and models of the IOC and the International Kung Fu Federation (IKF) with regard to the administration of the sport of kungfu.

Asian Kung Fu Federation asks all the kung fu and tai chi organizations in Asia to join the AKF. The AKF has the opportunity to hold biennial Asian Kung Fu & Tai Chi Championships in partnership with the International Kung Fu Federation. The affiliated AKF members can contact the AKF office in order to host an international or continental tournament under the licence of the IKF.
